In short: Excellent race!!! In full: Having done the belper rugby rover a few weeks previous i was expecting a fairly gentle 10miler though in the end it was a baby belper only on the road. Some very playful inclines and descents and the marshalls were very good, looking forward to seeing the time that i got :) Date of review: September 9, 2008
In short: Challenging hilly course, excellent organisation In full: Second year doing this and weather was far kinder this year. Organisation, from car parking, marshalling and water stations on the course and the finish, was spot on and many thanks to all those involved.
Particular thanks to the women who ran with my wife Clare, in her first long race, at around the 1hr 40mark and were so friendly to her and offered so much encouragement. She was a bit nervous about running with lots of club runners, but eveyone was smashing to her and she beat her expected time by almost 10 minutes and was full of it afterwards! In short: A few rolling hills to test the stamina, In full: Very enjoyable and friendly run. Quite undulating and an excellent prep run for those autumn half marathons. Date of review: September 7, 2008
In short: Nice course, well marshalled and great competitors. A few undulations to stretch the field a bit but nothing too severe. Nice touch the little girl at 5 or 6 miles handing out sweets. All this makes a nice Sunday morning into a great one. Date of review: September 7, 2008
In short: Good race, well marshalled, only one bothersome incline at about mile 8.5. In full: This race was a longer race than I am used to, being my first 10 miler. Coped quite well I thought and the only hill taht I really noticed was at about 8.5 miles, although it is an undulating course. Really well marshalled and lots of good atmosphere. Well worth the effort. Date of review: September 7, 2008
