In short: A chance of a last pb of the year. In full: My first NVH10. The course was nothing special. Fast but you had to keep you whits about you. Loads of bollards/posts to bump into and curbs to trip over. The two laps were fine as I like to have it clear what's left. The results came out on the Tuesday which is acceptable without chip timing. Race HQ was very busy with so many entering on the day. But at £11 on the day I can't be too critical. I'll be back next year, which says it all really. Date of review: December 5, 2013
In short: Nice and simple In full: Pleased with my PB, luckily weather was good too. Classic old school race, cheap to enter, just some water at the end, nothing else needed. Did fall over at 2.5 miles going through the gate (sorry for the swearing!). No results yet though, shame. Date of review: December 2, 2013
In short: Don't stay in bed, go and do it! In full: N.V.H 10 is a well-organised race. I had no difficulties entering on the day. The location is easy enough to find (when someone else is driving!)There was a large turnout of club runners, which I expected and never deters me from entering club races. I really enjoyed the course: bridges, underpasses, woodland trail, roads and paths. I do prefer point to point routes; however this two lap mixed terrain course was pleasant enough and added a bit of variety. Flat road races bore the pants off me. I am 'chuffed' that I got a PB and I am equally pleased with the nice conversations I had with three lovely ladies during my time at the event... Carol, from Yaxley Runners and Joggers, thank you for pacing with me and our lovely chat. Didn't the time just race by?! Hope to see you again sometime and well done you on reaching your target.
