In short: A great race!! In full: Well organised, nice scenic route, flat & fast course (ignore what others say, this course is flat!) and friendly marshals. A great event, will do again next year. Date of review: January 17, 2009
In short: Good flat course In full: Apart from the mix up at the start, being told to go the football pitch, having to move the line. Could be better. Very flat course, weather was good, spectators were good apart from mile 6 (no clapping), the end was windy through the houses. But good finish on the grass, goody bag was nice. In short: Brilliant In full: I've done a number of CH races and they've always been really well organised / all I could wish for. I really hope this event becomes a permanent fixture. Thanks to all those who helped organise and run on the day including the St John volunteers and police. Date of review: September 19, 2008
In short: Brilliant organisation. Great atmosphere In full: Extremely well organised. Lots of marshalls. Good PB potential even though only flatish. Carnival atmosphere at start / finish. Date of review: September 18, 2008
In short: Fantastic, thoroughly enjoyable race even though I was not in racing shape. In full: What a fantastic half marathon you laid on yesterday ! The course was brilliant, the organisation also, and great spectators.
I came down specially from Grimsby to run because the route went through the villages where I grew up. But even without the nostalgia bit, I would love to do this one a few more times at least.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make this an event every year in future. If the police and car drivers object, please persuade them. Perhaps you could go further and persuade them to make Chippenham a car-free zone for just one day of the year (If cities like Brussels can do that, then I'm sure Chippenham could too !)
All the very best, and thanks for laying on a great day.
In short: Really enjoyed this, nice setting excellent finish location. Good facailites for both the runner and on looker. Results within minutes of finishing. Look forward to entering again next year, thanks for sorting out my runing number. No I would not cal Date of review: September 17, 2008
