In short: Makes you feel alive! Fantastic race, Great Scenery, Tough Hills and a really cool medal and shirt as a reward In full: This was only our second off-road half but what a race. Great organisation and a great atmoshere with the runners encouraging each other, especially on the hills. Loved the "Fool on the Hill", great touch. Also loved the medal and having the names of all the competitors on the back of the shirt. Plan to be back next year to do it faster! Date of review: November 24, 2015
In short: Were the hills steeper this year? In full: What a fantastic race, superb organisation and very encouraging marshalls! Conditions were good this year and the huge lake in the middle of the track had been filled in. Will be back next year for more punishment!
In short: Huge hills with amazing views. Loved it In full: Hilly by name, hilly by nature. Left the beginner friendly bit blank as there were no beginners lol. Really friendly race though so I'm sure they'd be very welcome. I would def do this race again. 2 huge hills you hit twice altogether but it was good to know what was coming up. Lots of mud, a big puddle, varied terrain and friendly marshals makes this a tough but really enjoyable race. You even get a carrot at the end - it's a tradition Date of review: November 23, 2015
In short: A last minute entry, but really enjoyed this super tough, but very friendly and well organised race In full: 2 laps with some brutal hills and tricky under foot but glorious views and a very friendly and welcoming race. Enjoyed signing the national anthem at the start and loads of support from crowd and other runners. A real gem Date of review: November 23, 2015
In short: Don't try this in a Bath chair! In full: My first thought of the day was oooh warmest clubhouse of the year and much needed but darn I have to leave this cosy warm and go running. Ah but what a run it is. As I know all the Trionium courses to say this one is the most scenic of the lot really is saying something. But also in keeping with the Trionium tradition it is slippy and muddy and puddly and truly knackering. Many thanks to Rob and all the Trionum team and the wonderful marshals who I hugely admired keeping up the good cheer in the cold, finally many thanks to my fellow runners, it really was a blast in Bath! 100% to you all!! In short: Gorgeous leg-buster In full: Thanks to all organisers and marshalls for a superb event. My first ever organised race and what a place to start! Loved every steep, muddy, good-natured minute of it. Go on, give it a go next year if you haven't before, just be sure to train accordingly. Date of review: November 23, 2015
In short: Mud, sweat, tears of joy In full: Loved the circuit. I did the ultra 10k, quite tough enough for me! A beautiful setting with stunning views and a pretty village, enclosed paths and open fields. All facilities admirable, and interesting to get a look at a weighing room and other racecourse features. With half a furlong to go I even managed a sprint. One of the best medals ever and generous refreshments even allowing for the highest entry fee. Date of review: November 23, 2015
In short: Great quirky event In full: This was my first off road race and what a race it was. The hills were killer but there was beautiful views and great support to get you through. It's a small event with a clubby feel; national anthem at the start and all! Date of review: November 23, 2015
