In short: Great race In full: Seeing as this is in my home town, I had no excuse not to do it! It was well organised, well marshalled and I really enjoyed it - especially the mud & the cows! Date of review: July 2, 2007
In short: Wet and really muddy. Great fun. In full: The rain has certainly done it's work on this course. I started running round the muddy puddles at the start but gave up and ran through them after realising I was running further than everybody else. It put me in mind of a mini North Downs Run (if you've ever done that race). I shall certainly attend next year. Date of review: July 2, 2007
In short: This was my second 10K race and I thought it was very well organised and the route was very scenic. In full: The only problem was the mud!. I have read that this has been the wettest June since 1914. This made the course a bit more difficult I think, but none the less enjoyable. Very scenic route and I enjoyed watching the cows running past me in the field next door. I will be back next year. Date of review: July 1, 2007
In short: Quite a tough race this year...Particularly in these November type conditions at the beginning of July! In full: Overall quite a charming race with lovely scenery and good variety of surfaces. Mostly run through farm tracks and mud so quite a challenge to hit a PB.
A couple of small hills here and there nicely placed to keep the muscles working.
Overall a good little race and whilst this years muddy and wet conditions made it feel like a November cross country it was quite a satisfying run. Date of review: July 1, 2007
