In short: Very pleasant off-road run In full: A very enjoyable race; the first 4km along the disused railway path, followed by 5km on concrete roads, including a spection though the farm, and the last km back on the railay path.
Well signed and mashalled, and good organisation, with results on the website on the following day. Date of review: July 7, 2009
In short: Very friendly, well sign posted. In full: The start was abit crowded and very slow. However the whole event was well organised and the atmosphere excellent. I was surprised and delighted to find two watering holes along the route. The farm yard smells were something else, took my mind right off the pain! Thanks to all those who helped out. The Cranleigh 21 was alot harder so be warned. Date of review: July 6, 2009
In short: A great friendly race in a superb setting. In full: Great value for money. Friendly atmosphere and a good race to take the family to as playing field and rec right next to the start. Superb scenery and a lot of the route shaded. Not completely flat and the sharp bend and climb near the end caught me out. Would definitely do again. Date of review: July 6, 2009
In short: Pretty, small and friendly, good as an introduction to the area In full: As I live in nearby Guildford, it was worth making the short trip over, especially as the start time is a very civilised 11:00. A portion of the race is along the old Guildford to Horsham line and is mercifully shaded. It moves onto rough roads between two farms and includes a hilly bit of trail before a steep climb up the embankment (sorry if I offended the marshall with my language when I saw that) and back home. Nice touches like adding an extra water station because of the heat and a well organised start.
The only improvement I would suggest is that the organisers note in the race pack where the alternative car parks are located in Cranleigh. The recommended one near the leisure centre was full when I arrived. Date of review: July 6, 2009
In short: Very nice. Modest size of event contributed to friendly atmosphere. Well signed and marshalled. A bit warm, but well timed spots of rain helped. Very pleasant route. Date of review: July 5, 2009
In short: Great scenery, well organised - will be back next year! In full: This was my first 10k and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The scenery was great, each km was clearly marked, water stations at 4km and 7km, friendly race marshals and small enough event with a well placed finish line to ensure friends and family could see you cross the line. I will be signing up to do it again next year! Date of review: July 5, 2009
In short: Loved it - it's not pb for the distance but maybe make it one for th terrain..it's not flat and a few stones tried to trip me along the way, loved it In full: Need to get there early for parking which was a bit of a nightmare, well organised race...great scenery, runs along farmland, woodland, old railway etc etc not a pb course, for me at least but loved it, especially the finish which had a little downhill which ade me feel like I was flying :-) Date of review: July 5, 2009
