In short: excellant race In full: marvellous race over and back across the humber bridge just a small climb after leaving the bridge nice medal and tea shirt and excellant parking Date of review: July 4, 2006
In short: Really enjoyed the day out. I much prefer drinks in bottles rather than plastic cups. The drinks tables were very short leading to congestion. Please, please, please include at least one stop with electrolyte replacement rather than just plain water. Date of review: June 27, 2006
In short: The Chaos that was the water stations In full: I spoke to one of the organisers about the water stations and they informed me that they had put the water out the night before and most of it had been nicked...why was it out the night before is the question I would ask!!
Does not take away from the fact that two trestle tables for a water stop was ridiculous and having them half way up a killer hill was totally mind blowing. Perhaps one at the bottom and one at the top would be good because I for one needed a drink at the top of that hill and had to wait for another 2 miles....there is no suprise my time was not as expected!! I know I am moaning but it ruined what could be a brilliant run...specially considering where/what the occasion was! Date of review: June 27, 2006
In short: A good fun race In full: V enjoyable event. Gripes other than the real popular ones about loos and water, are the access allowed to pedestrians (especially bikes !!) onto the pavement on the bridge - not what you need when you're head down on the way back - and the left, left, left finish - surely that last left turn could be taken out ? I nearly bowled 3 people over trying to finish on a sprint ! Just glad it wasn't as hot as last year. Date of review: June 27, 2006
In short: Good Event In full: A bit warm in places but much easier (and faster) than 2005. Good to see extra drink stations. Hopefully, if the numbers increase could run on the road across the bridge. Date of review: June 27, 2006
