In short: A slick race to run and slick organisation
In full: Really enjoyed the route, scenic, flat and great PB possibilities. The Marshalls were the stars of the day, they were at every junction to guide you and had a smile and cheery encouragement for all. Good water stops with sensible cups (not wasteful expensive bottles, and there were bins-we don't like to litter!) The parking and start finish area were just as well planned and this made the whole experience a really positive one. Thumbs up Purple Patch I'll look out for your other events. Bigger companies could learn a lot from you guys on how to host a race. Thank you, I'll be back!

In short: Purple Patch rules!!
In full: Gentle course with a couple of small rises, great for a 67 year old guy and seemed like a PB possibility for the younger folks who can really run. The river up there near Marlow is delightful. The marshalls are cheery and energetic. Only catch was the photos were not up to much, but who wants to see me anyway, except me.
The general standard of runners was pretty good, check the winning times and the times of the slower runners, all quite respectable.

In short: Very enjoyable, scenic run
In full: Fantastic race. Lovely setting for start and finish plus a stunning, (mainly) off-road route which was much faster than I'd anticipated. I'll definitely be back.

In short: Simply stunning setting for a half marathon, much faster than expected also as depite running on towpaths was firm under foot and pretty flat throughout. Well organised, will be doing this again next year for sure

In short: Another great day out
In full: Cannot fault this event. Lovely start and finish venue, nice and mostly flat mostly off-road course, great marshals (hi Alice!), plenty of water stops, supporters can watch from the pub part-way round, excellent baggage stow (important for non-motorists), distinctive medal. Rescheduled twice this year because of the weather. Others might have cancelled and said "sorry no refunds". Like all Purple Patch events, this one's to do every year - when do I sign up for 2014?
