In short: Brilliant fun. The spooks moved for the 2nd lap so we were always taken by surprise.
In full: A very well prepared and organised race. Easy run but the stile slowed us at the start as we had to queue - perhaps we should run a bit quicker to avoid the queues?! Tip for ladies - take a man - I was glad to hold hands with my husband as it was very creepy......

In short: Running round the woods in the pitch black in a face mask, while people are jumping out at you! Quality!
In full: A well organised race with a few hidden extra's lurking behind trees and fence posts. Would definitely enter again, as a novelty run. Forget the chance of a PB!
Well done to the ghoul lying on the ground and slowly sitting up, scared the geepers out of me, plus nearly stood on the poor bugger!

In short: Out of the ordinary !
In full: I fancied the distance, then noticed it started at 11.00 at night, so I had to "give it a go". I had no idea what to expect. Good fun. Not too difficult. Lots of ghoulish surprises through the woods. Much effort went into making it fun and as safe as it could be under moonlight. Well briefed beforehand as to any possible hazards spots - A good night to remember.

In short: Great fancy dress 'fun run'
In full: Really enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone was in great spirits, some great fancy dress and a whole new experience running in the dark!

My experience of the event was somewhat tainted by the utter stupidity of one of the Marshals/scarers who came running out of control down a hill in the woods straight into me, sending me flying into the undergrowth - just what you want after slogging your guts out in cords and a wig for 3.5mi!

In short: Ghoulish fun.....
In full: A fun run through the fields and woods at 11pm with only glow sticks to point the way! The organisation was great and the run was only let down by the low number of participants. This was a nice change to the daily grind of training...well done Martine!

In short: Still can't quite believe I ran at almost midnight. Great fun though.
In full: Some good fancy dress - some really got into the spirit of the race. Good spooks, lovely pumkin soup and bread at the finish line. Really good t-shirt. Will be back next year

In short: MENTAL - Running round in the dark in costumes with GHOSTS jumping out at you. - It doesn't get any better.
In full: I turned up on a whim - after doing last weeks Coventry Half Marathon.

Easy to enter on the day or should that be night - by candle light...

It is pretty much as described a hilly course over lots of different surfaces and even a style - all covered by moon light. The route was cleverly lit by glow sticks, with many creepy additions to add fright. That and marshals dressed as ghosts jumping out at you made this a frighten race.

Most runners entered into the spirit and got into costume, Scooby Doo and gang - minus the green bus, what a running team but how can you move that fast in cords I will never know.

What a shame they didn't get nearer the 500 mark as it was a really good race that deserved a better turn out. Please do it again next year - I for one will be there - although I might not wear a mask again!
