In short: difficult run but still fun for beginners
In full: 2nd year ive run this race and it seemed a lot harder this year some reason. Nice tech shirt and medal, also better goodie bag than last year with lots of freebies at the runners world stand.

In short: Super fun race suitable for all abilities
In full: I love this race, its great that there is lots for the kids to do so the family isn't stood around bored waiting for me to finish. Fabe course, just the right mix of muddy trails making you feel like you're dead gnarly without really risking an injury unless you're unlucky. If I was to be picky, it was great to see the freebies like the shaving gel but what about the girls? This is a very female attended race, not many good freebies for us, also the medal was a bit the same as last year, even a different colour ribbon would have made a difference. More stalls too. fab food outlet though although aftr i had run they had run out of pasta! the horror!! lol. Good value race if you book in early for the discount.

In short: Fab organisation, good atmosphere and great day out for families.
In full: I booked this at the start of the year, so benefitted from a discounted entry fee, which, to be fair, made it great value for money. My wife (who was so inspired that she is going to enter next year!) and 2 boys thoroughly enjoyed it. If the weather had been a little kinder, we would have stayed all day. I thought the course was fast and extremely well marshalled and signposted. Great event village (room for a couple more gear stands?)and lovely atmosphere. Will be back next year, or may even try the one in Forest of Dean.

In short: Reasonable trail run but a great goody bag
In full: This is the second time I have completed the trailblazer series at Clumber Park. My first was in 2011 which was run over a slightly different course to this one. Registering was easy and there are discounts available. On the days building up to the race I have to say I was disappointed not to be able to view a race list to confirm my wave of entry.
A few runners complained that the sat nav address was wrong to get to the event. Free Parking to the National Trust site is excellent value if you are going to make a day of it. Registration on the day was seemless even though you were expected to thread the timing chip through laces. Where are the cable ties??? The course is a mixture of grass, tarmac roads and trails. It is mostly spent in woodland and is undulating. One stretch at about 4.5 miles was really poor for running on compared to the other sections and almost led me to go right over on my ankle. The athletes village was great and also the warm up. There were a few activities for young children to take part in while others were out on the course. The tech t shirt was good as was the goody bag.
