In short: My first half was the Great North last year, which was too busy, this was brilliant. The crowds were great and it was easy to meet up with the family at the end. Love to do it again!y

In short: Excellent race
In full: Even as a local it would be nice if we could include more of Chester in the course itself. Otherwise was v well organised, well marshaled and policed, thanks to them. Liked the T Shirt, overall super.

In short: A very pleasing first half marathon
In full: Well supported, well organised and really nice atmosphere. My first half marathon and I am pleased I made the effort to travel up from the West Midlands. Nice flat course and I would recommend this race to anyone.

In short: Excellent first time event, but no medal
In full: Neither my wife nor I had run a half marathon before, so this was our first experience. Overall it was really good, and the sense of achievement on finishing was enormous. The organisation had everything we expected. However, it would be nice to get a medal to show the disbelievers that we actually did it!

In short: Welcome relief
In full: I usually do events in Liverpool and this run was like a breath of fresh air. Fantastic organisation. Lovely crowds (particular thanks to the man with the garden hose!), lovely marshalls and brilliantly organised water stations. A real pleasure to take part in and the scenery was lovely too. Even a field of cows were interested as we puffed by!
