In short: Flat-ish, quick, but a bugger of a hill near the end...

In short: dreadful wether and poor finishline organisation
In full: dreadful weather and the organisors had to change the route close to the start, but the finish line was chaos; people had to stop running well before the finishline and not everyone was given a foil blanket - desperately needed as it was so cold!

In short: Rainy and cold weather brought the best camaraderie among runners, good water stations, distance markers have to be improved
In full: I had never been so well hydrated in a race! And no, it wasn't because the rain drenched me but because the water stations where plentiful and well manned by volunteers. I want to give a big thank you to those volunteers who stayed there for us even in that hideous weather. The organisers need to put better distance markers next year though. It was not a race to achieve a PB and I was shivering for 45 min after I finished but I think I would do it again. It made me feel like a hardcore runner (I'm only a beginner, this was my first half-marathon ever) but it shows you that if you can survive being soaked and cold for over two hours you can achieve many other things in life! British people really love misery and bonding amongst runners was a very uplifting feature of this race. I loved receiving a text message with my times right after I finished. Website with pictures and video of our finishing moment were also great.

In short: When will they learn from the error's of last year and the year before...
In full: Not able to finish because of the number of people at the finish line de-chipping...get this right - it's not hard
