In short: Very tough course, stunning scenery
In full: My first G3 and I underestimated how tough it would be. Cold, muddy and falling snow. Very slippery underfoot so spikes would have made a big difference. The hill up to St Martha's Hill reduced everyone to a slow walk. However, well organised with a great atmosphere and a race I would definitely do again.

In short: amazing
In full: I thought it was really difficult and the hills with the conditions were challenging. At the same time it was beautiful and I felt positively exhausted. I thought I can last - turns out I was second from last - but hey its the taking part that counts. Thank you to all the organisers and staff.

In short: A challenging race!
In full: This was the 6th time I've completed this race and had probably the toughest conditions. Having been postponed the week before due to snow/ ice, it didn't appear that much of this had cleared. The snow that had melted had turned the rest of the course into a boggy, wet mud trail which challenged even those with aggressive trail shoes! Despite this the North Downs is very scenic and there are some great views. For a small entry fee, each participant gets to download their photos for free- I received about 60 this year (which is far more than you'd expect from a 10k)! It is an early start but once it over, it feels like you have the whole day ahead of you. Overall good value and I would gladly do this race again- with more training!

In short: very, fozen but beautiful
In full: Lovely scenery and a great off road route. The hills were brutal in places but its a race with the true essence of cross country. Very very cold and the ground was frozen solid but the course certainly kept us all warm. Cheery marshalls

In short: Winter scenery at it's best!
In full: A definite fixture in the calendar. It was well below freezing at the start this morning but the scenery was mind blowing at the tops of the hills. Glorious winter sunshine. Not too challenging a course, just enough uphills and downhills.

My only gripe would be the value, or possible lack thereof. £16 with no toilets, no goodybag (aside a banana and flapjack), and no free Goodness Shake anymore. Just starting to look a little bit expensive, pls dont go down the Human Race route!
