In short: Marvellous scenery, challenging course (manic) and organisation wasn’t bad as people are making it
In full: I'd just like to express my gratitude to 3C10k and all those involved in organising and running the event. I concur with A A 29 on the issues he has raised, amongst everyone who has commented on this event only him was being fair. Unlike some who wants to see only the bad things that went wrong and didn’t enjoy themselves.

I run the 15k and was amazed that a large leading group of runners ignored the obvious signs on a large gate early on in the race which made me wonder if my bearings where functioning and at the end trust them to blame it on someone. Anyway the course was that challenging as it stated on the company website loads of climbing and fast downhill’s, I was glad it wasn’t more than 15k my legs would have giving up on me.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I know that there were issues with course signage and Marshalls, etc., but this is to be expected with a new event. Hopefully, over time the event will undoubtedly improve. Looking back it all added to the enjoyment of the race.

I would recommend the devil run to all runners for them to have a go; and judge on their own merit rather then read and listen to people who fail to give praise where it’s due. Mistakes are made in life (present) to make the future a better one.

In short: Wonderful scenery, cafe afterwards, good cause, but poor organisation.
In full: This was an inaugral race and it is to be expected that there will be some issues with organistion not being quite 'spot-on'. Yes, the signage and annoucements and post-event refreshments were poor, but there is room for improvement. I'm guessing that the event organisers are quite new to all this. It seemed to be a 'family affair', and as such, they are probably not event vetrans at organisation. It must be stressed that the primary reason for this event was to raise funds for the Navy and Marines.

I'm sure the event organisers will reflect upon today's race and the feedback and hopefully, if the race continues in the future, then the necessary improvements will be made.

I was one of the lead runners and at approx. 7 miles i had to keep stopping at junctions to await the arrival of one of the race organisers to catch me on his bike so that he could point me in the right direction aand at the same time put up the remaining course markers. Annoying, but it wasn't life-threatening or a cause for caustic comment. They tried their best and i'm sure it will be better in the future. Nobody was missing at the end. It deserves to continue as it is a great course, very challenging, with some tough ups and downs and great scenery. As a bonus, the cafe does good food and drink for post-race refreshments.

Please do not be deterred by some of the comments. Look for this race in the future and and put it to your respective running calendars.

Keep on running and enjoy the benefits that it brings.

In short: Poorly signposted throughout and with no distance markers or refreshments at end
In full: Overall poorly organised. It wasn't clear at the start which was the 10k and which was the 15km course. There was no loudspeaker so when it was announced no one could hear it. The signposting was poor - a group of us got lost and others ended up missing the course entirely. No chip timing and no refreshments at the end. I was very disappointed. The Brutal and G3 run series are much better organised and I wouldn't run this again.

In short: a disappointing shame
In full: This could have been a great race- good scenery, good places for supporters, car parking and on site cafe. What a great pity there was such a serious lack of organisation. No km markers, no marshalls at key points for direction, only 2 drink stations when 3 were advertised, a pityful finish and no goody bag despite all the big named supporters of the race. I was sadly disappointed with the whole thing and out of the three of us who ran there is only one of us who would consider doing it again :-( such a shame as it was raising money for a good cause.

In short: Great route, just a bit more attention to detail needed in the organisation
