In short: Hilly and slippery
In full: A very tough hilly course with the weather causing it to be muddy and very slippery in places.
The organisers where very informative in the build up to the race via email and social media which was great because of recent adverse weather putting the race in doubt.
Would have been nice to have more going on in the area before and after the race to create a bit more of an atmosphere but all in all a great race on a historic course

In short: Oh My Goodness! A very hard course but great fun.
In full: I had set my sights on finding a local race to be my very first 10k, Hadleigh Park is local, i can do 10k on the road so i signed up thinking all would be great. I think had i have known just how hilly, muddy, exhausting and challenging it was going to be i might have sacked it off. But im so glad i didnt, i started and came in close to he back of the pack but although i had plenty of moments wondering what on earth i had done doing this as a first race, i was totally stoked to finish, the best feeling ever to know that i made such a hard race my first, and still weeks down the line I still bore anyone who will listen about my achievement. Cant wait to do it again next year, great organisation, a real buzz, great fun and and thoroughly recommended (with a bit of hill practice in advance!)

In short: Challenging
In full: What a fantastically challenging and enjoyable 10k race. I loved every bit of it, especially the steep hills and climbing over those rocks. Fantastic helpful Marshals, thanks again guys. Can’t wait till next year, hope it’s on again.

In short: Very Challenging but worth doing - good for hill training
In full: Views were great if you could see and not looking down to see where you were running. Due to the weather it was very muddy and slippery, so not good for a pb. Great for hill training though and to say that you have run on the Olympic mountain bike course is great. Marshalls were great, friendly and helpful, one of the best. I hope to do it next year.

In short: Brilliant - but very challenging
In full: Loved this race, although it was more about getting round than a great time! Fantastic views, and brilliant to be able to use an Olympic course. I wouldn't say it was suitable for beginners though. I would love this to be held every year!

In short: Very enjoyable race
In full: Really enjoyed this despite being a tough course. I don't know what was harder, running up such steep hills or trying to stay on your feet coming down them!!! I did fall and cut my knee open about half way but got to finish. Well done to the St Johns Ambulance that cleaned me and others up! Marshalls were good and supportive. Would love it if this race was a regular one!!!!

In short: Tough, but once in lifetime course
In full: Think I chose the wrong race for my first foray away from road races into cross country. So my comments won't be the best for the Race Director to glean feedback from. I found it v tough...those hills and that mud! However delighted I completed it, maybe once I've psychologically recovered (I may dream of scrabbling over boulders tonight!)I may be tempted back onto a flatter less muddy cross country. Marshalls were v supportive. Delighted you gave us chance to run an olympic course.
