In short: Weather definitely added an extra dimension. That said it was still good fun and marshalling/organisation put some larger events to shame.

In short: A good well supported event
In full: The weather added a little more to the challenge of this excellent run. Always well supported, well organised and well marshelled.
The course starts with some small up hills, then drops for a faster middle section, then a final uphill finish.
The prize varies every year and I quite like the mug, as I have my hot tea I will remember the wet and windy conditions!

I'll be back again next year.

In short: The weather forecast said it was going to be mild.
In full: The photos from the event says it all. The gale force winds between 7-8km, the torrential rain, standing water on the roads and wet leaves everywhere. I loved it.

I am not so sure the runners who were led out to the start line 10 minutes before the front runners loved it as much. I heard nobody complaining about the conditions - mind you all I could hear was teeth chattering and the rain bucketing down.

A special thank you and well done to the Billericay marshalls around the course for all their support and encouragement. I look forward to next year!

In short: Marshalling this race is fun
In full: OK so i didn't run today, but i did marshal at 2k and at 150m from the end. Thanks for all the smiles and for turning up today and making standing in the wind and rain a real pleasure. See you all next year - we have have ordered tropical weather with sunshine and blue skies, no wind. OK so it will probably rain and be windy, but that makes it all the better.
Doesn't it???

Yes i hear you cry!

In short: 2009 Just Very Wet and Windy
In full: Poured nearly the whole way and between 7k-8k, running uphill into gale force wind and rain was an experience. So shame about the weather.

Despite all of the above marshalling was excellent and first time for a mug as a prize.

Looking forward to 2010 already.

In short: Wet and windy
In full: Very well organised - an army of marshals. Well done Billericay Striders and thank you very much. It is just a shame the weather was not better.

In short: WET,WET,WET!!!
In full: If only for the rain and the wind.
Soaking wet and very little chance of running a fast time.
Course is challenging. First 2k is uphill which can play on the legs.
Nice course, well organised, well marshalled and well supported too. A long time since getting a mug for finishing. Look forward to next year, hopefully the weather will be better.
