In short: Loved it - very friendlyand picturesque
In full: The Neolithic was my first marathon so I knew I was running into new territory having maxed at 20m training for it. All my running is off road so loved the scenery, hills, and trails most of the way (only a very short stint on the road). Maybe quite demanding for a first timer, fastest time of the day was just short of 3 hours so probably gives an indication of the hills. Definitely recommended, very well organised, happy helpers and entrants, lovely atmosphere. I'm definitely going to enter next year.

In short: Hard and hilly
In full: i'd read a review of this beforehand that called it gruelling - i thought that was an exagerration... it wasn't! Tough but worth it, the pizza and cake at the finish line was a nice touch

In short: Lovely race.
In full: I guess the parking at avebury was odd due to the wet fields, apart from that I was really impressed with the organisation of this event.
Lots of water stations with happy people and a really nice route which threatened hillyness but often took you on the least steep route. Great stuff.

In short: Amazing
In full: My first marathon. It was a beautiful sunny day. I don't normally go out in the sun. Two weeks later and I still have brown arms. No real complaints. The mile markers were hard to spot (bigger signs would help) and they were a bit off, but that just gave us something to talk about. Free entry to Stonehenge at the end was icing on the cake. A great day. :-)

In short: Tough half but fair
In full: Half - A tough but fair off-road event. An interesting course with great scenery - in fact when things got tough all I needed to do was to look around as it made the hills more easier. The Lady announcer was a highlight & listening to her again is worth coming back for her alone, as well as the pizza. I`ll be back. Well done to all.

In short: What a dream of a run!! My dream obviously.
In full: Oh how I loved the rural nature of this event far out-weighed any city/town scape ever. Will make it an annual event even though the race started when I was still in one of the 3 race toilets!!! More toilets next year please. Other than that - a dream!!

In short: Great views, tough hills, friendly event
In full: My first marathon and what a one to pick - seriously tough hills rewarded with stunning views in the vale of Pewsey. Salisbury Plain was less pretty but full of ups and downs to challenge those legs. Friendly people both running and organising made for a great day.

In short: Fantastic Event!!!
In full: I can hardly walk up or down stairs, I spent all of bank holiday monday on the sofa, but it was worth it. A fantastic route with some amazing scenery. My first marathon and one I won't forget.
