In short: Very friendly organisation, but twice up the steep hill is really hard
In full: I only recently moved to Wimbledon and that was my first local race. All people there were very very friendly and helpful, so well done Hercules Wimbledon AC. A guy even spent a long time explaining me the actually quite simple route. Very small field of participants, almost all old club veterans. It was very very hot and unfortunately water was given out in cups instead of bottles - how would I drink out of a cup while running full on? Very very steep hill - up twice - so no PB potential at all here, but great medal in the end. Would definitely do that again.

In short: Chilled Bank Holiday Run
In full: I enjoyed this. It was close to home, it was a lovely day (the sun did smack me a little on the second lap - but hey - I'm not complaining about that). As we ran out of the stadium I realised that we'd be doing the Church Road hill twice - which was frightening - but we managed. I enjoyed the route.

I would do this one again, purely for the fact that I can walk home, it's a course with hills and flats, at this time of year parts of it are lovely.

In short: No water for us slower runners!
In full: I thought I was mistaken about water at 5km- the thought was all that was getting me around. I'm astounded that the faster runners had it, but not us at the back. I was seriously contemplating nipping into one of the shops along the route just for a drink!

In short: Shocking to have water station withdrawn before all runners had gone through the first lap.
In full: I saw markers for miles 1, 4 and 5 - where were the rest? Didn't like running through the busy shopping area. As I approached the water station at the end of lap 1 it was being dismantled - why no water for slower runners on such a warm day? Big hill was good. Would have been nicer to have a stadium finish rather than the dirt path behind it.

In short: Good suburban race, challenging enough, dodgy mile markers, quick results on the day.
In full: Tesco race is probably a good description for this leafy suburban course. A few mins walk from home, pretty good organisation, but a complete set of mile/km markers would have been a great help. Good value for what it is, prefer this sort of low key event to mass participation melees. Easy parking and public transport, would get many more starters with little promotion locally.
