In short: As per... In full: Great weather, big field and supportive atmosphere this year. Thanks to the team for excellent communication and help regarding my bib number. Date of review: March 15, 2016
In short: Another successful year In full: 7th time I have done this I think. It was really well organised as usual although the marshalls & crowd seemed quieter / less cheerful than usual. I`ll be back tho! Date of review: March 11, 2015
In short: Still getting better? In full: A chilly March day but the crowds were out in force to support their race that raises funds for the Scout group.
Big mix of ability meaning that even average runners like me finish a fair way up the field and even lap a few backmarkers. Not cheap now with the cost of road closures and you only get a medal but the crowd make this race special. So many supporters around the park can`t help but make you run that part of the course way too fast!!
In short: Another great Dronfield 10K In full: This is a challenging course but I improved by Course Best by over 2 minutes this year. Roads were closed again which was great. The crowds are quite big for a 10K and help make a great atmosphere. Date of review: March 25, 2014
In short: Second time was better than the first In full: Ran last year (2012) and this year I improved my time and we all had the benefit of a full road closure. It's challenging, but worth it when you go through the line. Date of review: March 19, 2013
In short: A regular for me In full: I do this every year and did it this time even though it didn`t really fit in with my training.
Road closures were added this year which cost the organisers (Scouts) a fortune but helped the flow of the race. There seemed to be even more people watching than usual creating a tremendous atmosphere despite the chilly weather. Lots of beginners although it is a hilly one. Well done all and see you in 2014! In short: Not the easiest 10k, but worth doing. In full: I know people that simply won't do this one because it's difficult to get a PB. Still worth doing though for the fantastic support and organisation. A good one to test yourself on for the nasty start and some long hills. Date of review: March 17, 2013
