In short: Very well organised with a huge field of all abilities. Everyone made to feel welcome.
In full: Well done to all at Silson Joggers for raising the standard again. Technical t-shirt to celebrate the 30th race is great. Finish arch was a welcome improvement as well.

In short: Fast, flat 10k - great value as well.
In full: I have run the Silverstone HM a number of times, but this was my first time at the 10k.
The event was organised very well, and the course offers real PB potential in the right conditions.
I don't believe the hype about the race being long - do some runners genuinely believe that their GPS watches are more accurate and reliable than the UKA Certificate of Course Accuracy??!!
I once clocked 27 miles at the London Marathon, maybe they have got the distance wrong at that event as well?
Well done to Silston, this was a fantastic event.

In short: Flat and fast, around Silverstone so F1 fans will love it
In full: Flat and fast, love Silverstone, disappointed there was no medal (t-shirts don't last that long), but they did hold the course open for my wife to finish in the dark.

In short: Great race...... Great value
In full: Thank you so much to Silson Joggers for such a great race. Huge amounts of work must go into an event like this. Apart from a sharp shower at the start and a bit of a gusty wind in places, it was perfect. Course is flattish , no hills as such, a couple of very mild inclines. Wednesday might have been a struggle to get a PB but in less windy conditions. Scenery.... Depends how into F1 you are. Love F1 and its amazing. Either way, watching the British GP on telly will never be the same again.

I am a bit staggered that some people have not rated this event higher for value. An F1 traffic free circuit-check. Chip timing-check. Technical t-shirt- check. Bottled water at the finish-check. And for club runners who entered in advance..... £9........ other races with this kind of spec you can look to pay £20 on average.

As for distance, mine was almost spot on. It's a big race with lots of people on the track. It's an F1 track and very wide in places. If you get swept up with others runners, you are going to run wide. I'm guessing the measured route takes the racing line. If you don't take this, it will measure long on your garmin. Check it out on google earth. Some of the bends are very wide and go on for ages. This will all add up. I have just found their course measurement certificate...done in 2012 and as far as I could see this year, there is no difference to 2012.
My only complaint was... They had run out of cakes by the time I had finished chatting!

In short: Could be one of the best...
In full: I was a little bit disappointed to find I was just a few seconds of my target time, having put a lot of energy into this 10k believing it was a PB potential. However, I found that I HAD paced the course right and WOULD have gotten my target time if the course had of been measured correctly. I really hope this can be corrected because other than that it really is a brilliant event!

In short: Course measurement
In full: Dear all

Many thanks for taking part in the 10k on Wednesday. I have read the comments regarding distance, the course was measured before last year (the certificate is on our website) and there have been no changes in the layout of the circuit between 2012 & 2013. Last year we received comments that it was a short course! This year it is a long course!

See you all again in 2014.

In full: we were considering using this for our club champs next year, but because the course was long for the second year on the trot will probably go with a more accurate course.
i can not work out why the finish has moved so far down the pit lane.
ran the course before the changes last year and it was pretty spot on, now its almost most of the runners i spoke to last night got there run as 6.4 not 6.2.
all that said great tech tops and great support by silson on the course.
Get the distance right and its pretty much one of the fastest 10k s in the country.
