In full: My first off road marathon - loved it even though for the most of the time you could not see anything - just mist and damp ness. The comradeness is great - better than the road races really. I enjoyed the drink stations - they were like filling stations really - mars bars, drinks, teas cofees etc. The Litlington one was very good. I walked most of the hills though as that was the idea - lets hope next year we can see where we are going........

In short: Even the weather couldn't spoil this exhilarating experience - fab marshals!
In full: My 1st marathon & I'm glad I picked Beachy! Atmosphere was great, participants were all so friendly, cheery 'mornings' from all and couldn't believe the cheeriness of the marshals, considering the weather -they were so supportive. Brilliant 'water' stations, the sight of the Mars Bars, tea, coffee, hot x buns etc was more welcome.
Tough course, but unique, challenging and an experience. And, from the glimpses of the views we had in between the fog, I think there's stunning scenery out there too! Thanks all involved for a great day!

In full: Really upset as I had to pull out at 15 miles due to slipping & tearing calf muscle. This was my first Beachy Head marathon & it turned out to be a personal failure, but i'll be back to try again next year..

In short: hard but fair
In full: My second go and previous experience helped as needed to pace the final 8 miles carefully to avoid cramp, would love to run the whole thing but not up to it yet. Sub 4 hrs next time!
