In short: Outstanding. My first ever marathon, let alone trail marathon. Tough as nails, but exhilarating all the way.

In short: As tough as expected but an excellent race.
In full: Great course, but extremely tough, with pockets of energetic support en route and very enthusiastic marshals all the way. Impeccable organisation from what I saw. A huge sense of achievement afterwards. Well done and thanks to all involved in making it work.

In short: You know you are alive after this one!
In full: The 1st half of the race incredibly difficult due to the little breeze! The way back was dominatied by glorious sunshine , views and a helpful wind. Then the 7 sisters brought about fatigue.........marshalls were amazing!

In short: Train, train & train if you want no pain!
In full: Due to injury I'd only managed 14.5 miles as my longest run building up to this. I had previously run it but, like childbirth (so my wife tells me), I'd forgotten how hard it is. I was fine for the first 16 miles but then everything hurt! Having said that, I loved it. Unforgettable feeling running parallel to the meander at Cuckmere Haven and back to the sea and the daunting Seven Sisters ( with some step sisters thrown in).
Thank you for the excellent marshalling!
Only one criticism. More signposts to toilets at the start - there were some horrendous queues in the cold wind.

In short: A must do race for everyone
In full: I found the organisation great for this event and eveyone was helpful and friendly especially the marshalls and even spectators walking the Downs. Plenty of space in the school for baggage or even just to stay warm. Extra WCs if you looked for them all over the place - did not have to queue once!

In short: Oh God the Hills!
In full: I think they should invest in more toilets, as far as I could tell there were 5 cubicles that the men could use. That is ridiculous!
