In short: Flat 2-lap course, but plenty of off-road. Not much atmosphere except at the finish.

In short: This is a local race, for local people
In full: Compact 10k ran by mostly local club runners as part of the Surrey Road League. I'm not a massive fan of the towpath section, the squeezed start, or going up Riverside Drive twice but it's just nice to do.
Results need to be done quicker - prize winners had to hand around for a long time afterwards. Modern technology helps with this - time to embrace it?

In short: A tad warm - ergo a good workout for this ectomorph
In full: Medal - excellent, definitely passes muster. Still don't like the entry system though, it habitually causes me problems and led to me officially missing May's half marathon.

In short: Way too hot !
In full: Was hoping to sub 45 for the first time but two things put paid to that. Firstly the heat. It was 22 degrees by the time the race started and, secondly a suicidal first two kilometres by me. What was I thinking !!!!

In short: Well run, flat, 2-lap affair, in great conditions
In full: Good event. Well organised. Nice course with mixture of road & towpath. Blessed with dry cool sunny conditions for late June. Should have been really fast but either I wasn't up to it or the towpath has a slight effect. Hey ho.

In short: Flat, fast and well organised.
In full: Very good morning with a good group of people all intent on having a good time. Very good opportunities for PB's due to flat and fast course, even though the towpath does seem to take it out of you. Love the medal, of which you need 2 to dispaly each side! Must do next year! Nice to run along the Thames in the Summer time.

In short: Nice fast flat 10K
In full: It a nice course with a mix of road and track down by the side of the Thames. Bit of a surprise start but was soon clear of the traffic and into a pace that my legs soon told me was too quick. Managed to cut my pace back to a managable rate and really enjoyed the run. PB'ed so it can't be bad.
Thanks to all the marshalls and Ranelagh Harriers for putting such a good event.

In short: fast flat race along the towpath, lots of fun
In full: i really enjoyed this race. i got a pb which can't be bad (beat 50 mins for the first time). i've never run a race that was so muddy before, but surprised myself and enjoyed it! marshalls were good and course was easy to follow.

In short: Good race, nicely organised. Can we have kilo markers rather than mile markers next year?

In short: Glad of the rain
In full: Being used to running on trails the towpath wasn't a problem and splashing in the puddles was definitely enjoyable. Excellent coffee, rolls and cakes afterwards in the club house. Well done all round.
