In short: The hill's a killer!
In full: Absolutely marvellous setting - two laps of Raby Castle grounds. The hill's a definate tester - especially second time round and if that doesn't finish you off the hill near the end will!!

In short: Thanks for organising the wind
In full: Always enjoyed this event for several reasons:
Marvellous location in the estate of a moated castle
Off public road and so no issues with traffic
Glorious scenery - views over the Dales & across to Teesside
Good, friendly atmosphere
Chalenging 2 lap route with a stiff hill early on and a smaller one later.
This year, the excellent organisers, Teesdale AC , had cunningly arranged for a stiff wind to be in our faces as we ran up both hill sections. Such thoughtfulness.
This is a really well organised event, even if unlikely to give anyone a pb. Well worth the trip.

In short: Great run, great atmosphere - as everyone says, hills are very hard and as it's two laps, it's psychological as well as anything else. Very recommended though, looking forward to next year already. My girlfirend did it for her first 10k and loved it.

In full: This was first 10k race and found it challenging for a beginner. I also didn't expect it to be so hilly! Felt a little intimidated by the amount of club runners who participated, but on the whole, was really glad I did it! Views were fantastic and the family really enjoyed the atmosphere

In short: V hot, V Hilly, but V good too.
In full: Really nice setting in the grounds of Raby castle. Long way to the start from the car park, especially if you are pushing 2 kids in a pushchair up all those hills to get there with only a min to spare. From the very start you climb to the top of the first hill whick I think was about 1 to 2k you then take an undulating path through the park/farm land with a further long climb to the 5k point, then you do it again.
Great run to take the family to as we had a picnic in the castle gardens after the run in the glorious sunshine. Be there again next year.
Oh, no pb though, dont even think about it!!!

In short: Beautiful, painful, too hot - a normal Raby 10k !
In full: Good organisation, beautiful scenery, quality t-shirt and excellent cafe / picnic areas. Wonderful as ever, aching as usual.
