In short: Fast flat no frills
In full: A few pinch points running in to runners coming the other way. Apart from that basics missing .... Drink station coming up... Really......

In short: Fast flat course; well organised;
In full: Ran this in 2011 and 2012. Very quick course along the seafront. Perfect for beginners. Only issue with the course is the very narrow chicane like turn at the 1.5Km. Given there were 2700+ runners this slowed the pace down considerably.

No water stations in 2011 but one in 2012 course which many would be happy with.

Disappointing post-race goodies. Goody bag was pointless in 2011. No goody bag in 2012 despite info saying there would be! Only water at the end - no bananas, energy bars, energy drinks etc.

Not enough portaloos for 2700+ runners. Otherwise a well organised event. Numbers, information sent out very early.

Will run this again.

In short: 2011 race - not much to say - good race in a good location
In full: Basic 'does what it says on the tin' race along the Brighton seafront. Big race, good atmosphere & excellent organisation. Not the most generous with just a bottle of water and very basic medal, but the race itself is very good, and that's what you do it for after all. Agree about the k markers - only saw 4 & 9, and I assumed the inflatable over the road was 5k - didn't actually see anything with a 5 on). 18 inch high blue A-frames at the side of the road are simply not visible enough when you have runners around you. Minor thing though - good event.

In short: 2011 Race - OK
In full: Fast flat course, nice atmosphere and great scenery.

A few points for improvement:
A bit more guidance for division at the start, rather than fast at the front, slow at the back. I was overtaking people the whole way around the course which was rather annoying during the first 1.5 km as the course was narrower. On the other hand, it is quite motivating to always be overtaking people!

Confusion from the PA system about which side the elites would be running back down on, everyone moved to the right as per the PA instructions, only to have to jump out the way when the elites came down on that side!

What happened to the KM markers? There was 1km, 1.5km and 6.5km - a few more would have been welcome as would a bit more notice that there was no water station on the course (i.e. highlight in the race pack)?

But all in all, a pretty good race and I'd be happy to do it again.

In short: My first ever competitive run, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
In full: There was plenty of parking not far from the starting point of the race.

The race itself was on the road/pavement.
The road inclination is very slight and so it is highly likely that you will achieve a personal best.

I smashed my previous record by over 2 minutes!

The race started on time and wasn't too crowded, there was plenty of space to run, with enough space for me to sprint finish.

The medal was lovely and is of a good quality.

In short: Always quick. Good organisation appart from the lack of water at the finish.

In short: A good race for barefooting!
In full: This was my first 10k and also my first official race since going barefoot and this being Brighton no one really batted an eyelid. The only Km marker I saw was number 6 but then I wasn't really paying attention as I was having too much fun splashing through the puddles then avoiding all the stones washed up by the foul weather! Still don't think cups at water stations are a good idea but this was only 10k so I didn't need water anyway. The queue for the Lucozade at the end wasn't great though. Medal was average but for the price and distance it was fine. Would do this again but no next year because its on the same day as HellRunner!

In short: Fast, flat course. Enjoyable race.
In full: I think this is one of the better races on my usual calender.

I think that the water station at just before the 3K mark (which doubled up as the finish water station) and just before the turn at 6.5K were sufficient for most - I usually don't drink during a 10K.

I managed to take all my own KM split times so I was able to see the marker boards for most - the 3k one was as we passed the start finish and I did not see a marker there but it was easy to work out from the info supplied with the race numbers. I previous years I did not see as many markers.

The "Sea Breeze" usually evens itself out as you are running against and with it for the same distance - although I think that it is easier to have it in your back for the run to the finish like this year.

With the course being so flat it makes this race for those that care about such things a definite one to go for a PB.
