In short: Really enjoyable !!!!
In full: Lots of mud, wind & rain & even when slip sliding away it made me smile!!A very big thankyou to the marshalls & also the spectators who were wonderfully encouraging despite the fact they must have been very wet & cold.First time of participating but hopefully it won't be the last!!

In short: great event, slightly tarnished by poor organisation after the finish
In full: Great event: challenging, rough terrain; pretty appalling weather; floods at the Salisbury end all added to the event.

Organisation at the end was poor - ridiculous queues to get bags back and Tshirts, medals etc

In short: great day, tough but fun
In full: comments were made about the organisation at the end, I didn't even get my t-shirt, but was too tired to care!

In short: Wet, windy & wild - and that was just the marshalls!
In full: Excellent race! What a nightmare it must be to organise 3 events, relay, half and full marathon. Very well done to the race director!

I've done part of the relay before and enjoyed it so thought I would give the half a go. Typical tough run weather I guess - they wouldn't be half as much fun if it was dry, sunny and calm let's be honest? The marshalls were superb and the course was very well marked. My worst point was in the flat field a mile or so from the end, that mud/soil really sapped the strenght from my legs. The underpass was hilarious, albeit a little chilly!!

My only gripe would be the handing out of medals/t-shirts at the end, there has got to be some better way than queuing like that?

In short: Hard going in places not helped by the weather, but enjoyed the experience. Poor organisation at the end spoilt the day especially having to que for the hand outs.

In short: Hard work, made tougher by the very wet conditions and flooding in Salisbury. But rounding a bend, and seeing the cathedral spire in the distance, with just 3 miles to go, made it all worthwhile.
