In short: Wonderful event with something for everyone, superb for club elite runners and first timers alike. Tea and cake in the village hall or a picnic on the green afterwards (or pub if you really want!), what more could tired legs need?

In short: A nice, scenic and fast race.
In full: Great race, very well organised and with the potential to be very quick. This is a flat course (with very minor undulations) and with only one tight corner and a small enough field to avoid getting crowded out it offers great potential for the PB hunters.

Although flat the scenery is still good, taking in some nice North Yorkshire farmland and the start and finish are set up by a picturesque village Green, complete with duckpond and a cracking pub for dinner afterwards.

I'll definitely be back next year.

In short: A great race in a lovely village
In full: Second time i've done this race and managed to knock 5 mins of last year's time. Its a great race really friendly with a good mixture of club and non-club runners. The village is so attractive and you finish on the village green. Didn't remeber the hills from last year, not sure where they came from!!

In short: A friendly and scenic race which was very well organised.
In full: First time I'd done this one... A wonderful venue, great organisation. The parking had been re-located due to heavy rain flooding the original place but the signage and marshalls on the day ensured efficient parking. The sun shone for the whole race! Tea and buns afterwards in the village hall was a bonus!! Beautiful scenery. And a mug for all finishers was a nice and alternative touch. Very efficient organisation.

In short: Apart form the "water feature" good race
In full: All going well until the rather deep puddle, rather wished I hadn't been wearing newish trainers - got a PB though so well chuffed!

In short: Nice course, not dead flat, usually steadily up or down
In full: Nice little village Tholthorpe, whole village seems to be out for this one. Warm day and not fully fit so not one of my best races. Not the flattest so a PB would be hard-earned for an experianced racer. Climbs after start and at about 5m challenge, but there are some longish steady downhills.

In short: Excellent route with superb sceneary potential for a pb with a bit more effort!
In full: This has to be the most scenic run I have done. It is a very flat course in a very gorgious village. The organisation was superb. however the only down side was a lack of atmosphere but if this event had that I would be sure it was organised by Carlsberg, probably.
