In short: A lovely local race with plenty of genuine support
In full: Quick course with clear km markers. I particularly enjoyed running past the start of the Fun Run with the enthusiastic support of those about to start. Nice touch. Great race, will recommend and return.

In short: Lovely race, very scenic, would definately reccommend
In full: This was my 3rd 10k this year but first locally. I loved the scenery. Tree lined country lanes, a few cars but they didn't spoil it. The pre-race atmosphere was very friendly, family orientated and relaxed. The race itself was taken pretty seriously the bulk of finishers were under 50 mins and the winner coming in at 33mins. Overall I liked this race and would do it again. Great for a PB.

In short: Good, flattish course, well marshalled, not too crowded. Could have been more water at the finish.

In short: Lovely flat course all with buttery smooth organisation
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed this great course among a small field, one of those small local friendly runs that has all the nice touches that makes you want to do it again.

In short: A very well organised and fun event - also plenty to keep my 5 year old daughter entertained while I ran.

In short: Everything more than competently done.
In full: I entered this because there are not many races close to Colchester, but I'm glad I did! The race was well run and marshalled although I did not feel 100% safe from cars on some of the roads. I would definitely do this one again as I reckon it must be one of the fastest courses around. The highlight for me was the speed with which the results were published on the race notice board.

In short: Good course minimal hills.
In full: Good course although deceiving at the end as others have said with a slow drag to the finish but good for first timers at 10k. Message to Clive about the markers, I had my Garmin watch on and could not believe how accurate the markers were at eack kilometre with my watch beeping plus / minus a few metres from each marker. I would be intereseted to know what your device was and if you want info on the garmin please let me know
