In short: Great fun overall - loved the spandex guys doing the aerobic warm-up!
In full: Steep start but since there were loads of runners [?] in front, forced you to start steady! With 9.5 thousand women [and 3 gents in drag!] taking part, the start was staggered in batches of 100 or so, out of sheer necessity. No chance of any PBs unless you were in the first 100 or so to be let loose, as there were too many optimistic 'fast starters' to get up any speed until about 2K.

Warm-up atmosphere was typical of the old "Glasgow's Miles Better" slogan. Very relaxed and some entertaining cheerleaders - what man would be brave enough to shake his pom-poms at 9.5K hysterical Glaswegian women?!

Thank you Glasgow! You showed the rest of the RFL events how to do it!

In short: A few hitches, but good fun.
In full: Bellahouston Park is a good setting for a run. After around an hour's delay at the start, the race went straight into a steep hill. Not such a good start for the beginners. Great turnout, fantastic crowd. Would definitely do it again!
