In short: Location & time of year works for me In full: Bollards are an issue - some early ones had flags on - perhaps this could be done in other cases Date of review: July 27, 2010

In short: Well organised In full: This was only my 2nd half marathon although I've run 2 marathons as well previously. Parking was easy as was bag drop off and collection. The half hour warm up seemed to be well appreciated. I went off too quick and struggled at the end so my recollection of anything of the course apart from the ground beneath me is a bit hazy. It seemed pretty flat and I think on another day it definately has PB potential. Part of the race takes you round along Willen Lake which is very nice and I know the area well as my long training runs take in that area. I was a bit disappointed with the number of supporters but perhaps I have been spoilt by my other runs in Edinburgh and Orlando. Nice medal. All in all a very good only spoilt by a poor performance from me on the day ! Date of review: July 22, 2010

In short: Hills? Where? In full: My first half - loved it. Read lots of comments about hills but seriously? They're about 50 yds long at most. Brilliant organisation. Only thing I would like is to see a bit more local support - many sections of route were spectator-free. Those that did turn up were great. Especially the one urging "think of the cake waiting for you at the finish!" Date of review: July 21, 2010

In short: Excellent organisation In full: As many have said the course is not hilly, but it is difficult to get in to a rhythm because of all the turns and underpasses. Marshalls were fantastic, both doing their job and encouraging the runners. A fact that was obviously appreciated by the runners because I have never done a race where so many were thanking the marshalls for their help. Organisation at the start/finish was spot on. At the other MK Half earlier in the year I waited 90 minutes for my bag, this time I didn't wait 30 seconds. Having done both Halves in MK this year, this is the one that I will go back and do again.
