In short: A very well organised event
In full: A bitterly cold day but the warm welcome made it a worthwhile event. Good sign posting to the event, registration, race brief and great support from the marshals and the hardy spectators who braved the weather to give us a good cheer around each lap!

In short: Chance to check your form early on in the season
In full: Brrrr- cold day. But we were well looked after in the heated gazebo per race. You're not going to do this for scenery, though the drive to the event is very pleasant. But it's a god chance to check your form. No crowds to fight your way through or hills to contend with. Very well organised event.

In short: Great race for beginners and those after PB's
In full: The summer 10k around this course was my first and I thought it was well organised and welcoming. Following that run I immediately signed up for the "chilly" where with the support of family, friends and other spectators I improved my PB. I have already signed up for the run in Feb 2013.

In short: Sociable and fast
In full: This is a good event, fast course and sociable before during and after the race.
The only criticism I have is about the finish line. I crossed what I thought was the finish line, because it had large flags either side of the path saying 'FINISH', when in fact the actual finish line was 10 - 15 metres further on. That mistake cost me 3rd place lady.
I saw a couple of other runners make that mistake too.

In full: full marks to the organisers for getting the event on despite the weather,a good race for beginners but a pretty boring run for regulars.well organised event but one large problem, the course measured very long by my watch,43 seconds between 6.22 miles and my official time crossing the line,a discrepancy of some tenth of a mile!for this reason I probably would not do this event again
