In short: Brilliant organisation and a great race In full: The organisation was brilliant especially given the appalling weather and flooding before the race day, meaning the route had to be changed at the 11th hour. And they even arranged for the sun to come out for the race itself!! Fantastic! Date of review: February 10, 2014
In short: Very well organised In full: Very well organised with lots of email updates reguarding the poor weather and parking. Given the extremly wet conditions prior to the race they did a great job staging the event. Date of review: February 8, 2014
In short: Fantastic atmosphere for an established 10k race! In full: I've been lucky enough to run this race for a few years now, mostly making up team numbers but it's truly a great 10k. The recent hastily revised route (out & back) due to flooding was it seems a blessing in disguise as most appeared to enjoy the added atmosphere of running past other runners! The bonus of starting and finishing at the club countered the walk from the off-site parking which was great foresight considering the waterlogged state of Sandyacres! Support from A&D marshals at the start/finish and throughout the course couldn't be faulted and organisers Nice Work should be complemented on the revised arrangements. If I hadn't been blowing out my backside I might've taken more notice of the wonderful views but hey it's a 10k and time is short! Roll on next year! Date of review: February 7, 2014
In short: Another Cracker! In full: Another great race, in a pocket of perfect racing conditions. A late change of route due to a flooded course, all credit to the club and organisers for keeping the race on. A PB for me so well happy...see you next year! Date of review: February 7, 2014
In short: Another fine race put on by Nice Work. In full: Considering the recent wet weather, what a great effort from the organisers to get this race on in a slightly different format. It actually made a nice change to try a different route, although it was still testing. Obviously very busy at the start, but it was soon possible to pull away into the appropriate position. Preferred finished on the road as opposed to the grass. Well done Nice Work and Ashford & District :-) Date of review: February 7, 2014
In full: I ran the Marshal race on the saturday as I was involved in the course re organisation as a result of the flooding. It could not have been done without the members of Ashford and Dist RRC. Brilliant race as alaways. If I say so myself the new course is just as good as the old one. Here's to the next 25 years. Date of review: February 7, 2014
In short: Great organisation, good support, friendly atmosphere In full: First time doing this race. Thought the communication from Nice Work in advance was excellent, keeping us abreast of the enforced (weather) route changes and amended parking arrangements. Both changes did nothing to impact the run.
The route was switched from a big loop into a 5k out, 5k back run - sounds dull but actually was really good to look out for fellow runners on the home leg. Date of review: February 4, 2014
