In short: lovely course, grumpy marshalls, rubbish finish
In full: Long queue for carparking, but short queue for toilets. Beautiful undulating course which was challenging but do-able. Sandy track was soft but didn't have to watch feet all the time. Got a PB under an hour so was really happy. Start bit crushed, large blokes charging through to front - Finish the worst I have been to, had to queue 10 minutes for a small cup of water, gave the very small T'shirt away to child and no medal or goody bag. If it wasn#t for my PB the ending would have really spoilt the day.

In short: Great day for a run
In full: Fantastic scenery and loved the undulating course. This is the second time I have run this race and both times I have been disappointed with the finish. Yet again I have a child sized t-shirt, and no proper drink or snack at the end. Also not on the finishers list. Doesn't bode well for entering next year.

In short: Lovely run...could have done it for free!!!
In full: Absolutley lovely run, perfect for my style and I love incline with a bit of flat..it was def. a challenge but this suited me! however very poorly organised. I was told twice to take my headphones out (which I need to run with, its like taking my trainers away from me) due to them needing to talk to me as I was running around the course! I never spoke to another marshall until the 5k mark and it was then pretty obvious where I needed to go! the end was awful, I had to queue for water, then I had to wait for a KIDS size t-shirt as my prize!! where was my Large t-shirt I ordered online 2 months??? to top it off Im not even on the results list...the one thing I do the races for is to find my time out and I have no idea, im really disgusted. So unless organised by a different oragnisation I wont be doing this race again. :)

In short: Nice scenery challenging run, can I have a medal as well next time please? :)
In full: I enjoyed this, to be honest. I was up for it, the weather was amazing, the scenery was great, lots of people. A challenging run in parts- sand underfoot, some long uphill bits etc. Downsides- lack of a medal (easily satisfied with a bit of bling, me) and four quid to park.

I'd do it again though.

In short: Beautiful scenery
In full: Gorgeous day for a run in the forest. Beautiful setting. Terrain quite challenging. Undulating all the way, with the sandy patches really tough underfoot. Down side? Water in cups! Why why why? Once you've thrown the first half over the marshall there's not enough left to refresh a squirrel! For the money would have expected a technical tee. Will I do it again?Probably, unless I get a better offer.

In short: Glorious day, great scenery, demanding course!
In full: Very challenging course, rarely flat, mostly up or down the hill, trail so hard work but worth it!
Sunny and surprisingly warm day so I stripped off to technical short sleeve shirt and shorts, a lot of people made a mistake and run with too much layers on.
Organisation ok, beautiful scenery, great autumn in forrest, breath taking!
Negative sides: no medal, generic T-shirt that worked for all 3 today's races and any year (no date on it), I expected more for £16.00 + £4.00 for parking.

Very positive review mostly due to the scenery and weather:)

In short: Poor Value. Poor organisation at finish.
In full: Found this to be quite a tough 10k on a fairly hilly course. Only my second 10k after Tamworth. The course itself was well set out and enjoyable enough. Sense of achievement quickly subsided in finishing area though as there was a queue to get water. I was overheating on an unusually sunny day (dressed for the cold) and desperately needed refuelling at the finish. There was nothing but a queue for a cup of water. No goody bag with gels/energy bars, no bananas, no medal (which I'm still new enough at this game to get a buzz out of) and they even ran out of commemorative tee-shirts. Really not a very good finish to an otherwise excellent day.

In short: Beautiful scenery, brilliant price, excellent race.
In full: Brilliant. The price tag is excellent, the parking was on site, with port-a-loos and the toilets from the visitors centre. The 10K was two loops of the 5K route. The scenery was perfect with all the leaves turning on the trees. The route was undulating but with a couple of hills, but nothing that you would need to walk for- although there was one hill leading up to the half-way/ finish point! At half way the 10K runners were directed one way and the 5K runners into the finish chute- very well organised. There was a guy with a microphone cheering you on which was motivating (especially when you could see people finishing!). There were some people watching who were out walking/ cycling in the woods. At the end you could queue to find out your chip time right away, but I waited until I got home. The t-shirts were very nice too- cotton ones but for women they were fitted and not the big baggy ones you usually get. And even thought the parking was right by the start/ finish, there was no congestion when leaving either. A run that was just so enjoyable because the scenery was so fantastic.

In short: Some sapping uphill sections but a nice way to round off the season.
In full: Bit tight at the start, but a nice day out.
