In short: Great race again. despite the weather.
In full: My second year doing this race, and again it was terrific. Even with the rubbish weather (hail and rain) the whole thing ran like clockwork. The course is fast and 90-95% flat with brilliant marshalls and a great prep area with a good tea shop. Added chip timing this year as well. Dragged a friend along and despite the rain he loved it. We'll both be back next year.

In short: Great organisation, nice course, scenic area, good support, naff medal
In full: First time at this event, which was spoilt by the awful weather. Apparently, it has been very good weather in the past. If so, it would make this a really enjoyable race as it is very scenic, on quiet country lanes(mostly) and starts and finishes in the grounds of the lovely Exbury Gardens. Worth a visit during good weather. Nice tea-room and plentiful, clean toilets add to the overall enjoyment of the event.

The route does meander a bit with 2 gentle slopes and a 500m section on shingle that will slow you down. The last 1KM through the grounds is very welcome. Plenty of Marshalls all around the course and every supportive. Many thnaks to them all and the organisers for the event. Credit for standing out in the awful weather.

Just one minor gripe: the finish memento medal this year(2013) was very poor quality. Perhaps something more worthy of the entry fee for future races?

Thanks again to all for a wonderful morning out, despite the relentless rain!

I'll be back and will encourage others.

In short: Glad I got up early!
In full: First time doing the Exbury and glad I did. Loads of parking, lovely setting, nice rural lane course, good views of the I.O.W. and the last km in the gardens. No truck with where the finish line was myself. Could not fault the organisation, so many friendly marshals out there! Many thanks to those brave souls in the heavy showers.

In short: great race despite the weather
In full: Well organised race, friendly marshals. Flat course, mostly tarmac with a bit of gravel and a very short muddy section. If the weather had been better a PB would be a real possibility.

Really enjoyed this race and would definitely do it again.

In short: Really good fun, despite the weather
In full: Once again this has been an excellent race. The weather appalling, but in the 5 years I've run this, it is the first bad day. And it seemed to be trying to make up for all the good weather runs in one hit. Wind, rain, hail, and loads of huge puddles.
Thanks to all the encouragement from the excellent marshals. turning out on a day like this was above and beyond.
Scenery is better than a 4/5 but you couldn't really see it today.
Excellent organisation.
Medal a little poor at the end. Bring back the paperweight.

In full: Very wet! managed to take 2 mins and 30 seconds off from my time last year. Good organisation and marshalls were friendly and encouraging on the way round. My son, husband and dog!did the fun run, I dont think many took part but the weather probably put some off, would be great to have the fun run again next year. My son loved his medal and also got an easter egg. A race for all abilities and will defiantely be back next year

In short: Beautiful race, well organised and a fast course
In full: This was my favourite 10km race of the year. Lovely course, pretty fast and mainly flat, helpful marshalls and it has a great atmosphere. As others have said, the finish line could do with being altered so more of a crowd can build. Can't fault it other than that.

In short: Love this race
In full: Can't fault this race. Lovely course, well organised, fab marshalls and nice goody bag/squash/biscuits at the end. 3rd year running it, will definitely be back again. Well done Hardley.
