In short: Fun end-of-year race
In full: Enjoyed this one, it was 2 laps of the course. A killer hill halfway through each lap - you knew it was coming the second time round! Small race, about 120 or so runners but friendly. Scenic route, particularly through the villages. Good for a PB if you can pace yourself up the hill (you can make up for it on the way back of each lap!).

In short: superb, but hilly, race - the best race medal I've ever got! RECOMMENDED
In full: Thanks to the organisers, stewarts, volunteers for this great, perfectly formed friendly small race - approx 100 runners. Hills are tough but what a way to finish the year! THE best race medal I've got in my collection, more like a mini presentation plaque. I will be back next year. Overall flawless!

In short: Very scenic two lap route with killer hill followed by excellent downhill section.
In full: A gentle climb for 2 miles, a killer hill (climbing 150 feet in 0.3 miles - I walked most of it), and a fast and very welcome downhill return including a couple of short climbs. Overall 600 feet of ascent and descent. Not entirely traffic free although the handful of drivers were patient; the lanes are mostly single track, so any following cars could not get past easily. Perhaps thanks to the mild weather, many runners entered on the day and the start was sensibly delayed by a couple of minutes to give latecomers like me a chance to get to the start. A very friendly atmosphere and a great challenge.

In short: fantastic race in 2009 - shame it got cancelled in 20101
In full: I did this race in 2009 and it was fantastic. The course is quite tough with a few hills but fantastic scenery and great finishers medals.

The organisers were very efficient, keeping all competitors up to date and creating a very friendly atmosphere. Unfortuantely the race got cancelled due to the terrible weather and the organisers did a very good job of notifying all competitors who had individually as well as sending out e-mails and putting it up on the website with photos on the saturday morning. I ran the course later that afternoon and completely agree with the organisers as there were large patches of black ice round the whole course making it very dangerous.

I will definitely be doing it next year!!

In full: Race cancelled for adverse weather conditions - this part of the country is fine! There was also no club rep at the event to advise people of the situation that did turn up. Bad customer service.

In short: Excellent event. Nice route and well organised.
In full: Very enjoyable. First time I've run in this event and thought every aspect of it was great. The marshalling, organisation and race route were spot on and will definitely look to come back next year.
