In short: superb race - made me fall in love with running again!!! Scenery outstanding and a race which is hard as nails! Perfect combination
In full: The scenery is worth the fee alone, it truly is a magnificent setting - such a privilege to be able to run in such a beautiful part of the country.

The event was very well organised and the camaraderie amongst the competitors was fantastic. The race was hard as nails, with several lung busting hilly sections and one crazy suicidal descent at the end, but the sense of achievement on completing it will last with you for many weeks. I'll definately be back next year and as a result of this one race I've signed up for the rest of the series!

A favourite by a long way!!!

In short: Great Race - even if I did land in the only bog head first!
In full: Hot, hard, and probably lovely scenery (too busy looking at the ground to see it..) Roads congested on arival (nearly missed the fun trails), but otherwise smooth operation. Loved the live music at the end - great to soak up the sunshine, relaxing with the family and listening to nice tunes - and the drummers are a brilliant way of getting revved up too! If I can forget the pain I'll be back!

In short: A race for everyone!
In full: I live in the Lakes so am lucky to be able to run on and around these mountains week in week out, but what I really love is how us middle-of-the-packers get to congratulate the winners as they leg it past us and how even the fastest are stopping to do Usain Bolt poses or even take photos! A great atmosphere and especially perfect for first time off-roaders.

In short: Loved it (though it hurt). I will be back!
In full: I am still very new to running, but in my limited experience I do think people have been a bit generous regarding organisation. Nothing was signposed very well at the event from the registration tent, to coursemarkers, to the water tent at the finish of the race. In truth I found this a bit frustrating and, though it was the only area for improvement as far as I am concerned, I just thought it was worth mentioning.

In short: Stunning scenery brill organisation all ages and abilities feel at home
In full: It would be challenging to find anywhere more rewarding in England to trail run-the scenery is breathtaking especially when bathed in sun! The organisation is brilliant with updates and newsletters.

In short: Fantastic scenery and a great atmosphere
In full: I thoroghly enjoyed this, a really hard workout on a challenging but stunning course. The last two or three kilometers were really hard work, but that just made this a more rewarding achievement overall for me. I'd certainly like to have another go next year.
