In short: One hell of a hill
In full: The mile and a half hill was horrendous but great at the same time. Scenery was beautiful. Only disappointment was the hard downhill for the last mile which takes its toll on the knees. It would have been nice to enjoy a more gentle downhill.

In full: The best catered run I have ever done, stops at every 2 miles provided water, gels, oranges, bananas and more importantly wine and pretzels -loved the fact the race director dressed up as batman and shook hands as people finished. At the finish there was more fruit, cake and even tea and coffee, the hog roast after was the icing on the cake!!! loved the fancy element.

In short: Challenging run in fun atmosphere
In full: Ran the Bacchus half for the first time last weekend and would heartily recommend it to everyone. There was a real mix of abilities so anyone can join in - some going for good times others enjoying the views, banter and winetasting en route! Yes you read that right - this race has the best water/stop stations every - plenty of water, orange quarters, jelly babies, crisps, dried fruit and... wine from the Denbies Estate... and delicious it was too! The course is challenging with a fair bit of uphill... but the countryside is breathtaking the last mile is all downhill so a great way to finish! Added to that you are rewarded with a BBQ and a glass of wine afterwards so all in all a fantastic day out!

In short: Well organised half in a fantastic setting
In full: It was tough in the heat, and with the trail route on the hills, was never going to be a PB. But, my challenge was to enjoy the 6 wine stations and complete the run. The course is lovely, and the hot sunshine added to the beauty as you ascend Ranmore common on the north downs escarpment. The numerous and well stocked stations were well appreciated.

A few points of feedback for next time:
- I would prefer an earlier start than 12.
- my children did the fun-run, and we did not see anywhere that it was much more expensive to enter on the day
- how about having the fun-run after the half marathon has set-off
- how about letting the supporters and fun runners buy a portion of the hog roast

In short: One to cherish...and do again
In full: I think the guys at Run to Live did an amazing job (and thanks to them) on this one. Fresh fruit and goodies. They really thought out what was best for the runners on what was a very hot 1st weekend in September. Shame the start time could have been a little earlier in future if it looks like it will be another hot one.

In short: A proper run to have fun on!
In full: Wow! Fantastic day! Decided to run as Dennis the Menace as this was my wife's first running event! Expected the hill, and loved it! 944ft of fun ascent! The wife loved it! (had a divorce lawyer on standby!). So much so, that not only does she want to do it again, she's signed up for another half! Personally I'm all in for the full next year! The marathon runners looked hot and serious, but were all very friendly. The race put a smile on my face and it's still there!! Well done all!!!
