In short: .
In full: Flat course, pretty scenery to distract you from the pain. Last couple of miles along the seafront is fab - apart from evil but mercifully short ramps onto and off the prom. Great support from public, marshals, and other runners. Plenty of water stations and loos. Would definitely do it again!

In short: Great Fast Course
In full: I entered this race because i was annoyed at my first marathon been half a mile under distance, im pleased i did in the end as it was a perfect course for a PB which i got. I am not a lover of 2 lap courses but with this been flat i thought it was ok, i will be returning to do it all again in the near future.
Thanks for the good organisation.

In short: Flat and friendly
In full: Very convenient with a school for HQ - well set up with refreshments, bag drop, toilets, showers (cold!) and parking. The route was on quiet country roads and the promenade. Although this was a small scale event, the support was lovely - residents clapping from their gardens, and marshals galore - very capable and very encouraging.
With a two lap route and an HQ near the beach and the town this was very spectator friendly as well.
A nice medal and non-white technical T shirt. The goody bag was pants, but I enjoyed this race a lot and would definitely recommend it.

In short: Well done Mablethorpe, first class day, great event.
In full: Great value as many races are now expensive and don't offer enough. Pan flat course, maybe a few twisty bits in the town and before the prom' section that breaks the rythmn a little but a great route. Marshalls superb good water stations plus 'extra' bottles from marshalls if needed. The weather gods also did a great job on the day with blue skies and no wind, thank you! Probably do this one again, a great reason to visit the seaside, just hope it is never a wet or windy day as that would be rather unpleasant I think.
Well done Mablethorpe, a proper runners/racers event.

In short: Brilliant marathon course with friendly, effective organisation
In full: This race was a great experience all round. The organisation was brilliant, marshals were so friendly and encouraging, and there was good support from the locals too. If the weather is nice it's a good course for spectators too, miles 6/12/18 are very close so your fan club can cheer you on several times and get back to the finish in time to see you gallop home. It is pretty close to pancake flat too, and I liked the two-lap course. I got a 17-second PB... not the time I was hoping for but I ran with a smile all the way. Great camaraderie amongst the marathon field on the second lap too. And there is always the half for those who only fancy the one lap! Highly recommended!!

In short: Absolutely fantastic!
In full: I ran the full marathon last year and, as I had enjoyed the whole atmosphere so much then, I returned this year to do it all again but, this time, just the half-marathon. Everything was just perfect, yet again: The marshals, the route, the organisation, the lovely medal and technical-t-shirt, my excellent shield - you name it this event has got it all! Well worth the trip, from wherever you live, you won't be disappointed. A perfect PB course, fast and scenic if you find the time to look at the scenery!! All going well, I shall return in 2013. Can't wait!
