In short: my favourite autumn race
In full: the hills seem to get steeper every year! bit cold this year and a bit muddier than normal so times were slower but still enjoyed it. Who needs road races !

In full: My third Stickler, and the hills never get any easier! A great event, good challenge, and well organised.

In short: The cult classic Dorset Three Peaks
In full: some tough climbs await entrants almost from the off but its well worth it for the views from the top and the unique finish at the old railway station. Runners with dogs welcome too.

In short: A fabulously hilly, muddy, off road and organised race.
In full: I come down from London every year to run this incredible run. I love it. Who wants to do Run the the Beat for £40 when you can be in quiet and beauty of the Dorset countryside. Thank you to the Doddlers for making this such fun.

In short: Brilliant
In full: Hilly, but with some real fast bits inbetween to help keep you going!

Thanks to all involved, standing in the cold could not have been fun, but running it was!!

Not your poncy "tough wimp" event, but a proper multi terrain run with hills thrown in! Really good fun.

In short: Wow this is hilly!
In full: Last done this race around 10 years ago. I'd forgotten how hard the hills were esp. the first one and start of the last one. Hats off to anybody who ran up them all. Lovely scenary although a tad misty. Course great and not too much mud. Great run in. Thanks to all the friendly marshals. That lady and the top of the middle hill looked very cold!
As others have said who wants to to a boring 10 mile on the road at four times the price!!!!!

In short: got to be one of the best off-road races around and for just £9 - with a tee-shirt thown in as well - long may it continue
In full: a proper off-road race which welcomes all standards of runner at a great price - why would anyone even dream of paying out £40 for the alternate race today down at pompey when you can get this for just £9?
hills as hard as ever, seem to get longer every year but encouraged all the way round by the friendly marshals and fellow runners - the advantage of having to walk the hills i suppose!
great cakes and sandwiches at the end plus a free massage - why wouldn't you do this race?

In short: Excellent XC race, great value, perfectly organised, great fun!
In full: Some people pay £40 to run around 'hard man' events that have a scary puddle in the middle. If any of them ran this, they would probably finish at the back - albeit £29 better off!

This is how races should be - brilliant value, perfectly organised and friendly.
