In short: Second time was better than the first
In full: Ran last year (2012) and this year I improved my time and we all had the benefit of a full road closure. It's challenging, but worth it when you go through the line.

In short: A regular for me
In full: I do this every year and did it this time even though it didn`t really fit in with my training.

Road closures were added this year which cost the organisers (Scouts) a fortune but helped the flow of the race. There seemed to be even more people watching than usual creating a tremendous atmosphere despite the chilly weather. Lots of beginners although it is a hilly one.
Well done all and see you in 2014!

In short: Not the easiest 10k, but worth doing.
In full: I know people that simply won't do this one because it's difficult to get a PB. Still worth doing though for the fantastic support and organisation. A good one to test yourself on for the nasty start and some long hills.

In short: Fantastic race: challenging course, smooth organisation and great atmosphere
In full: I really enjoyed this race: the organisation was like clockwork (first time I've been at a race that started on time!), well marshalled and four water stations (two on each lap). Loads of local support made for a great atmosphere. The course is quite challenging but still managed to get a pb. Very good value: no goody bag, but you get chip timing and a nice medal.

This race is pretty much perfect, and was made even better by the sunshine on the day. Will definitely be back in 2013!

In short: Great weather with the whole village watching or running?!
In full: Hilly start then a long steady k downhill where you can pick up some time before the mile drag up. The uphill is met twice but it still catches a fair few folk out.

Really well organised with plenty of marshalls from the Scouts and two drinks stations this time which you pass on both laps. With the georgeous weather, I`m sure plenty of runners will have appreciated the water!

Great local race which deservedly sells out year after year!
