In short: tough but inspiring
In full: I chose this as my first marathon for four years: it's hilly/undulating, uneven underfoot, and I hadn't accounted for the crosswinds/headwinds on the plains...but it's the jawdropping scenery and slick organisation that will ensure this grows in number for years to come...I will be back, possibly in an animal hide singlet.

In short: Thanks to all! PB - on a hardish course!
In full: Enjoyed this run, a nice start in Avebury and a couple of hills to 4 miles, then a nice climb at 10 miles onto the plain, lovely headwind (why could we not run from Stonehenge and get the wind behind us I thought quite a few times!)

Then on tank tracks for 12 miles with a climbs at 16 miles and a few undulations after that.

All in about 2500ft of climbing so not too bad.

Lovely finish where you can see Stonehenge about 1.5 miles away and a nice downhill sprint to the line!

Good support all the way with the walkers being supportive and very helpful when coming to styles and gates!

Thanks to all - will be back next year!

In short: Great scenery, great weather - good start into May
In full: Loved it. Great organisation - you park in Stonehenge and buses take the runners to the start in Avebury. We had a nice extra-tour, as our driver went the wrong way - but we still made it in time. First half of the run very scenic - with the ups and downs that come with great views. Mainly running on grass. Path shared with walkers, which was nice, as many of them cheered the runners on. Dogwalkers out as well - with all the pooches very well behaved. And it was no major problem to tell the doggie water from the runners'/walkers' water at the drinking stations... Second half perhaps not quite so scenic, and much less "traily" than I had imagined - it was mostly a good path, with not too many hills (thankfully). Lovely reception at the finish, with the voucher for food (pizza, cake, fruit and tea/coffee) much appreciated. And it was great to have some bales of straw to sit on and have a chat with other participants. Also the free entry into STonehenge was much appreciated. A great event - I will be back!

In short: (Half) - great run, made tough this year by the wind
In full: Half Marathon : Few little niggles (long wait at start ... maybe could do with later coaches) & not many loos ...
But overall great & challenging run with wonderful scenery & some never ending climbs. Was actually thinking and near a pb, until those two late long stretches into the wind.
