In short: Agreed with other comments, a good way to ease back into the season. Great cause and a decent, small charity run. Am not keen on multiple laps tho

In short: Lovely spring day for a race
In full: The snow had caused a two-week delay for this race which was irritating at the time but with the sun shining on Finny P the delay seemed like a blessing on Saturday morning. The result was a smaller field than usual which suited the park's narrow paths. Organisation was good apart from the unsupervised bagage tent. And they'd lengthened the course this year so that it really is 10k! Also liked the text with my race time taht arrived 2 hours post finish. A good start to the season

In full: Bit of a mix up with the baggage tent, not enough toilets and a rather confusing start line. The course was 4 laps with slight inclines but difficult to overtake people on the 2nd and 3rd laps due to the narrow nature.

If they improve the start by making it wider and getting the warm up done in time then it would make a good run.

In short: Average race but OK atmosphere
In full: Four laps in Finsbury park were a bit boring, I would have preferred two laps, have done runs in Finsbury park before so was expecting something similar. Start line was a bit messed up also, people were rather confused by it and the KM markings.
There was a fair mix of fast and runners and firs timers.
Shame about the loos, there were only four and eventually the queue was pretty long!
I was also upset about the baggage area. We were given a tag for each bag then at the end of the race no-one was in the tent and people were just helping themselves to them, I thought it was a bit irresponsible really.. especially if they don't want to be held responsible for loss or damage.
It was nice to have a bottle of lucozade at the end, the goody bag contained a women's magazine (I felt bad for the guys!) a pin and a pen, may be it would have been nicer to add a banana rather than a pin or a pen?
It was a charity run and the atmosphere was ok but with a few improvements over the years if could attract more people.

In short: Nice atmosphere and a great run for beginners
In full: Nice atmosphere and a good run for beginners who want a chip timed race but don't fancy the elitism of some of the other races. Having everyone in the same t-shirt cuts out the pressure of club runners.

On the down side as it's four laps of a narrow field if you're a decent runner you will be lapping people by the second or third lap and it was quite difficult to weave in and out.

In short: Good early-season run
In full: This is one way to find out whether your legs have survived the winter in good shape. The course is four rather twisty laps of the park, the organisation is a bit minimal, but it was a pleasant sunny day with a good atmosphere.
