In short: perfect organisation and good for beginners
In full: perfect organisation and a well ran event. From arriving in the car park there is a marshall on every corner to make sure you get to the HQ and then from there every turn or junction during the race is marshalled with enthusiastic support.
A real village event feel
Perfect for a beginner runner but the course is fast enough for the more experienced.
Goody bag was very good, a book, gingerbread biscuits, another snack, water, tech t-shirt.

a must return event!

In short: A community spirited, professionally organised, 10k country lane road race (in one sentence!)!
In full: Excellent comms, extremely well organised - puts more expensive larger scale events to shame.
Neat touches include:
- car parking with well signed and marshalled routes to HQ
- pin holes in the vest numbers
- baggage drop
- pre race safety brief from race director
- friendly marshalls and supports in numerous supply
- quiet and scenic country lanes
- excellent snack menu (although the gentle waft of bacon butty as you're picking up your race number - bit unfair, surely no one can run on a bacon butty?)

One negative (but restricted by space) - narrow run-in for the finish, difficult to overtake in the final sprint.

In short: Picture Postcard scenery with potential for PB's.
In full: Fantastic base at High Legh Primary School meant getting the administration of race numbers etc a doddle. The improved toilet situation was helpful but still they could have more! Wonderful organisation and a real sense of victory at the end. WELL DONE

In short: Lovely friendly race
In full: First time I have done this. Very enjoyable run, course generally flat and scenic on quiet country roads. Much of the last 2k is on a pavement by a busier road but that's the only quibble. The organisation is excellent and the whole atmosphere very friendly - if this was my first 10k it would be a perfect place to start. Marshals and locals were all very encouraging by the roadside. Glorious sunshine helped as well!
