In short: Good course with definate PB potential
In full: Course was completely traffic free, mostly flat, though on the 180s of the test track there was a bit of a camber to deal with.

2 lap course, could have done with distance markers every mile instead of every 2 though.

In short: This race has serious PB potential (smashed 11 minutes off mine today!). Cool course being partly on the test track, well organised and not too busy. Loved it!

In short: Very enjoyable run - thank you very much to the organisers.
In full: Ford site genuinely pleasant in the morning sun. Birds singing, grassy banks, wide, empty track, no traffic. It's hard to find this combination round these parts.

In short: Like everyone else very well organised, very friendly, unique enviroment
In full: I know that Kerry has spent the last 6 months working incredibly hard to get this event under way. It would be great to see even more support next year. I was one of the slower competitors but all the onlookers and marshalls were very supportive and as I understand the medals are going to be replaced :)
big thanks to all the organisers for their hard work

In short: Not bad for a first effort
In full: Have to agree that the setting wasn't the best, but some of the views were quite picturesque. The helpers were all very helpful and enthusiastic, and the steel band was a nice touch. On the down side I wasn't very keen on "2 mile" markers, and the medal which had "10k" instead of 10 mile!! But overall a pleasant race, and I will be back

In short: Flat, potential PB if a little dull. Good event by organisers
In full: In its first year, the organisers and marshalling should be congratulated. Drummers and steel band appreciated. Yes the venue is a car test track however most of it was flat and the weather was kind this year.

Definitely, a nice addition to the Essex calendar as I do not want to do a half marathon in Feburary.

Hope the hospice raised alot of money and look forwrd to 2012 evernt.

In short: 1st year for this race. Enthusiastic organisers and well marshalled making up for dull scenery!
In full: Positives - nice local race and for a very worthy cause. Very well marshalled and enthusiastic organisers.
Negatives - could have done with mile markers every mile rather than every two, a finishing clock would have been nice, and nothing can be done about the course which was based on a car testing track and accompanying industrial area! Hope that numbers will increase if the race is held again.
