In short: A good Sunday morning workout
In full: Sold as seen. A nice climb at the beginning to warm you up followed by 2 loops in the woods. Nice wide tracks which thanks to the recent weather were almost perfect to run on. Great for those after a negative split with the downhill back to the finish or even those who were after a quicker 2nd loop. Friendly marshalls & plenty of water stations. Review below. Hope your shoulder recovers well. Been there, done it, Airport security detectors sometimes pick up the screw I have in my shoulder. Glad you want to do it again & banish those demons. Best wishes

In short: up and down like a weston donkey
In full: A lovely race, but I failed to finish due to a tumble and dislocating my shoulder. Thanks to the runners who checked that I was ok, to the marshalls who gave first aid and the gentleman that gave me a lift back to the start and especially to Helen of Angels running club who walked and talked with me until we got to where the marshalls were at the 2nd drink station, will be doing it next year just to see if I can stay on my feet!

In short: Great course, fun race, hard work
In full: Well done Stroud & District for a good atmosphere and well-run event. I came out for a good tough training run somewhere new, and boy, did I get it! I may have to come back next year to improve my time. And thanks to the runner who noticed the GPS lost in a tumble and brought it to the finish!

In short: Good, enjoyable race
In full: This was my first 10 miler, thoroughly enjoyed it, good timing ready for Bristol half, bit dissappointed that there weren't signs on the last mile (although I may have missed them), had to do an extra 1/2km and lost 4 places and a couple of minutes trying to get back on route. Apart from that great race definately back next year.

In short: Hot & Hilly!
In full: Really good, though low-key event; challenging climb but cracking last mile! Good range of abilities, too.

In short: Tough hill but well worth the effort
In full: Having read some of the previous reviews I was in no doubt there was a big hill. Yes it is big but what goes up must come down! Great undulating course through the wood. Hard enough to make me want to come back next year and improve my time!

In short: Killer hill at the beginning..
In full: Lovely course, first hill aside! Water station well placed, except at the finish where there was one but it was hidden behind the back of the building. £7 entry fee seems a bit steep for no memento at all would be my only gripe. Marshalls were very friendly and encouraging to us slower runners!

In short: oops, there are two of us called Rich T!
In full: The race was fun. Hill at beginning was a nightmare which seemed to go on forever. At certain points on the course there were some breathtaking views from the top of the hill. Enjoyable and will run it again. Althought not for a little while as my calf muscles are still aching.......
