In short: A tough one that is usually run in winter so get wrapped up
In full: My local half so I have to enter really!! A great course with some challenging hills.
Always run in winter so expect snow, rain winds etc.
Warm friendly marshalls with a nice warming brew and cake at the end.
Overall a very enjoyable but tough course run in beautiful scenery but I would say that as I train there everyday

In short: Challenging HM but well worth the effort
In full: First time for me, so didn't know what to expect but despite the snow, sleet & rain and the steep hill after 6 miles, I really enjoyed it. Fair play to the marshals who endured the weather - at least us runners were moving! Well done to all concerned!

In short: Hilly but friendly
In full: A very hilly course, but great marshals, to stand in that cold I must say a big thank you to them all. Not a pb course but still has plenty of good running in it. I'll be back.

In full: a very undulating course - deceptive as first 5 miles are downhill in the main - so you are left wondering whats in store coming back. 2 really tough sections between 6-10 miles & then a moderate climb to finish. despite this a unigue event - today with sleet, rain & snow. however the marshalls support is great & the home made baked items to purchase post race are the best - the cornish pasty was delicious.

In short: great race, very welcoming with excellent baked goods! The hills were not fun, being both steep and long. Special shout out to the marshalls though, who were amazing - they clapped and encouraged every single runner. Thanks for a great day!

In short: Tough but well worth turning up for, fantastic atmosphere
In full: I did this one last year for the first time and was determined to come back for more. Yes it has a couple of tough hills and there is an amazing downhill one which takes some nerve to speed up but it is interesting. The organisation is ace and the atmosphere is great. I managed to knock 2.5 minutes off my time from 2012 so need to come back to try even better. In spite of the awful weather this was definitely a good race. Really appreciated the long sleeved tee shirt. People are just so friendly! Just do it!!
