In short: Lovely rural Half Marathon In full: Deep in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, this race takes you on a scenic route through villages and quiet back lanes. In places this route can be challenging with a couple of climbs, so a PB may be unachievable. However, the race cost is very reasonable, well organized and an excellent bespoke medal. This is the second year on the spin i've entered the race and will be back again next year. Thankyou and well done all who were involved in organising a very good half marathon Date of review: March 23, 2014
In short: Lovely day for a run in rural Norfolk In full: My second time out for the Broadland Half and a thoroughly enjoyable day it was too. Lovely weather, lovely Norfolk countryside and a good helping of cheery marshalls along the way.
I couldn't really mark the PB potential down as I got one today! However, I think that was more to do with my previous efforts than the Broadlands course. Hills did seem to be a good topic of conversation between complete strangers on the way around but it added to the experience. In truth it's more undulating than hilly and nothing particularly challenging.
A nice T-shirt in the goody bag and a new medal to add to the collection. The only thing to really fault would be the parking which seemed a little confused but that would be a minor gripe on a fun day out.
