In short: Nice event - Sunday walkers/bikers on the path and one stairwell (to the bridge) were the biggest negative points

In short: Cheap n cheerful!
In full: This is a 'little race' with a big heart. I originally signed up for this as I couldn't make any local half-marathons in the spring. And in hindsight it was a great decision! Compared to the other big races I've attended in the past this was much more low key given the 500 or so field. Despite that it offers all the same amenities as a larger race but with a much warmer friendlier atmosphere. Highlights are the scenic towpath route, souvenier glass and excellent encouragement from the marshalls. A well organised race that is perfect for those who want to push on from a 10k.

In short: Fast, flat and scenic
In full: Excellently marshalled, I thought they almost had too many at times which was a first! It certainly didn't stop them doing their job - very encouraging and well organised. A nice flat run along the Thames, got a PB - will definitely be back next year.

In short: Great race and fantastic organisation. Very friendly and supportive marshalls.
In full: I would echo the previous comments about the excellent organisation and friendly marshalls. In particular the marshalls near Kew Bridge were very encouraging at a point when I needed some support!
I was pleased that the distance was made up at the beginning of the race by going round the field twice. As a first timer I was dreading having to do that again at the finish therefore pleased that wasn't the case!
Pint glass will get well used by the sponsor's products so a great memento...

In short: Well organised and excellent course
In full: A very enjoyable race (helped yesterday by the excellent weather). The race is well organised and the marshalling is excellent - with marshalls being efficient and friendly, an object lesson in how to marshall in a busy urban environment. the route along the river is very scenic and the early start means that there aren't too many competing users of the towpath and the race finishes before it gets too hot. The start/ finish location is good and the pint glass preferable as a momento to yet another medal..All in all excellent and truly welcoming to a wide range of abilities

In short: One of my favourite races of the year. Always a great buzz and although i find 10 miles a killer distance the location and excellent support makes it a must. I also propose pint glasses instead of t-shirts at all races!
