In short: Enjoyable run on a warm morning
In full: A well-organised race. Running along a main road wasn't as alarming as I had anticiapted and drivers were considerate of runners. Course was interesting and challenging without being too daunting - although the steep hill at 6 miles was tougher than expected. A friendly welcome at the finish line and a nice mug. Very pleasant way to spend a Bank Holiday morning.

In short: Nice route, well organised.
In full: Because the race starts at one point and finishes at another, coaches are laid on to take you to the start and then take your bagage back to the finish.
You are tunning on a main road for most of the 7 miles. When this race first started 65 odd years ago this road was obviously not a main road.
However,I found most drivers were very considerate and did not feel vulnerable at all. the route is rolling with one hill at about 6 miles. Steep but doable. It was a very hot morning but fortunately most of the route was in shade.
Nice mug at the end and lots of support. Glad I did it.
