In short: Beautiful, sunny day but definitely short of being 10k
In full: Another lap around the field at the finish might have made it up to 10k. I spoke to a number of runners who like me were expecting to have to do just that but the finish came sooner than expected.

In short: A lovely rolling rural course with a real village fete feel
In full: Helped by lovely weather, the setting for this race is beautiful and the atmosphere is really welcoming, with a little tea kiosk and barbeque. The race is rolling terrain, mostly tarmac with a little grass and track thrown in, around surrounding private roads with very little traffic to contend with and is a joy to behold. One unusual gripe is course measurement, I don't use gps but I PB'd by quite some way and have an inkling the course may have been a tad short...

In short: A nice sunny morning race in the country!
In full: What a great race!

We arrived about 30 minutes before the start of the race with plenty of time to spare, signs for the race were quite visible although we did miss one leading to a wrong turn but a steward soon had us back on track.

Parking was brilliant and everyone was guaranteed a space!

Slightly long queue for the toilets but nothing too bad, typical race length really.

The km signs the first time round were a little confusing but more useful on lap two.

Quite an up and down track but the sheep's baaaaaaaaaas helped me along!

All in all a very nice race, friendly atmosphere and would certainly take part again next year.

In short: best that could be done in such foul weather!
In full: More signs to the start next time please-went through the village 3 times before I found it! Organisers did their best on what was an awful day! Hope for better weather next year!

In short: Great race, especially great marshalls considering the weather, good friendly event
In full: Really good race, considering the bad weather, the route had to be changed on the day,but was still challenging enough,it was marshalled really well, very friendly atmosphere,I was amazed so many people turned out well done to everyone,

In short: A good result for an inaugural race.
In full: A very good organisational effort/result for an inaugural race. Slightly tougher than I expected. Maybe because it was mostly off road, on trails. Marshals on each turn would have prevented me from losing precious seconds from my final time as I took a wrong turn when on my own in the orchards. (They all look the same to me.) Martin was aware of this, and mentioned that some of the marshals did not turn up on the day. Otherwise it was a cheerful run.

In short: Enjoyable 10K through lovely countryside
In full: Well organised and really enjoyable- excellent atmosphere pre/post race. I prefer a loop course, but the countryside scenery made up for the to/fro aspects of the course- undulating course, but none of the hills were too spiteful even in the heat. Agree with other comment about parts of course on narrow paths at side of field- this was OK on the way back but was congested on way out (particularly with the simultaneous fun run at the start) Terrain was mixed- not sure how muddy it would be if we'd have had normal March/ April rainfall. Would do it again if the diary dictates.

In short: Very enjoyable & scenic run
In full: Thought that this race had a good atmosphere, was well marshalled & enjoyed it very much. Not a PB course but the scenery more than made up for it. No complaints at all apart from mens toilets getting blocked & would definitely do again.
